Start here

Your first 30 seconds

  1. Sign inThe first time you touch a control, a card asks you to sign in: Continue with Google, or your email and an 8 digit code. It is free.
  2. Pick an intentionTap one of the eight intentions under the bar, like SLEEP, RELAX or FOCUS. Or tap a band on the dial.
  3. Press playPress the gold play button, and again to stop. For binaural beats, put on headphones first.

The bar

Everything you need to start sits in the glass bar at the bottom of the screen. The wave above the buttons moves while a session plays.

  • PlayStarts and stops the session. If nothing is chosen yet, the hint under the bar asks you to pick an intention first.

  • All controlsOpens every setting in a drawer.
  • IntentionsSLEEP, RELAX, MEDITATE, FOCUS, CREATE, PEAK, HEAL and MANIFEST. Each one sets a band, a beat and a carrier for you.

Intentions and the dial

Every session is two numbers: the carrier, the tone you hear, and the beat, the pulse inside it. The reading in the center shows both, for example 5 Hz beat · 136.1 Hz carrier.

The dial above the pool shows the five brainwave bands. Tap one to pick it: it plays on a 200 Hz carrier and clears the intention.

Binaural, isochronic or pure tone

The method decides how the beat reaches you. Switch it in the bar, or in the Method cards inside All controls.

  • BinauralTwo tones, one in each ear, set apart by the beat. With RELAX, your left ear hears 136.1 Hz and your right ear 141.1 Hz. Stereo headphones are needed.
  • IsochronicOne tone that pulses on and off at the beat rate, the same in both ears, so speakers work too.
  • Pure toneThe carrier alone, steady, the same in both ears.

TipChanging the method clears any carrier you set by hand.

All controls

ALL CONTROLS opens a drawer with every setting. Reset puts everything back, and Close or Esc closes it.

  • Choose your sessionThe same eight intentions, plus six brainwave cards: DELTA, THETA, ALPHA, BETA, GAMMA and SCHUMANN 7.83 Hz, all on a 200 Hz carrier. Tap the active card again to turn it off.
  • Frequency familyTunes the carrier to a set of frequencies: Solfeggio, Chakras, Pythagorean, 432 Hz, 528 Hz or Planetary. Families with several notes show a button for each note. None keeps the carrier of the intention.
  • MethodBinaural beats, isochronic tones or pure tone.
  • Carrier modeSINGLE CARRIER plays one pure tone. HARMONIC STACK adds overtones (×1 ×2 ×3) for a richer tone. A readout shows the left ear, the right ear and the beat.

Fine tune, octave, warmth and noise

Further down the drawer you shape the sound itself.

  • Fine tuneBeat / Pulse from 0.5 to 40 Hz, and Carrier Hz from 40 to 1000 Hz. In binaural mode, a colored bar shows which brainwave zone the beat sits in.
  • Octave shiftOriginal, or one, two or three octaves down. Each step halves the carrier.
  • Warmth filterSoftens the highs of the tones. Off at the far left.
  • Noise layerPink noise and brown noise, mixed in under the tones.
  • ▶ Begin sessionThe same as the play button, with the volume and a status line above it.

TipPicking a new intention or brainwave resets the family, octave, carrier, noise and warmth, while the method and carrier mode stay. So pick the intention first, then fine tune.

Under the scene, Download Your Session renders exactly what you dialed in (method, carrier, beat, harmonics, warmth and noise) as an MP3, right in your browser, with a fade in and a fade out.

Questions

Is the Frequency Generator free?

Yes. Sign in with a free account and play any session, as long as you like. Only downloads are paid.

What is paid?

Downloading a session as an MP3, in 10 minute, 30 minute or 1 hour lengths. The price shows under each length before you pay. Serenity Suite owners download any length at no extra cost.

Do I need headphones?

For binaural beats, yes: stereo headphones, because each ear hears a different tone. Isochronic tones and pure tones are the same in both ears, so speakers work for those.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone. You only sign in, with Google or with your email and a code. Chrome or Edge work best.

I press play and nothing happens.

Pick an intention or a band on the dial first: the hint under the bar turns gold to remind you. Then check the VOLUME slider and the volume of your device.

Can I use a downloaded session in my videos or music?

The license page covers the sounds we sell in the shop. For a session rendered here, write to admin@alchemyaural.com before you publish it.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. On a phone the method switch and Warmth move into All controls, and the intentions scroll sideways. For binaural beats, plug in headphones.

I own Serenity. Do downloads cost extra?

No. Sign in with the email you bought Serenity with: every length shows INCLUDED, and the quick ↓ WAV button appears next to BEGIN SESSION.
